Today, we made a decision to cancel/postpone our annual fundraiser. As you know, we normally schedule this event in mid-May, and this year we were pressed by the club party one week prior. We scheduled this June date as the only available one, but knew it conflicted with both the GPYC rendezvous in Port Sanilac and other events. Our hope was to attract social and sailing families. Many YNEF board members could not make the party due to prior commitments. As of last night, only 22 reservations had been recorded, making it difficult to estimate attendance by Friday, and planning for food, bands, simulators, and auction activity was all in jeopardy.
